The CATAN Championship in New Zealand

The Organized Play program in New Zealand has two parts:

  • Settlement events are a new learn-to-play and learn-to-event system. They are designed for players new to Catan to find like-minded gamers, as well as Catan players who have not experienced tournament play.
  • Cities events are State and Regional Championships, aimed all players, with prizes including seeded spots into the Top Cut at your National Championship.

At the National Tournament, players will face off against all other winners of the State and Regional tournaments to become the year’s Australia CATAN National Champion. Every two years the Champions are sent to the CATAN World Championship  tournament. The next CATAN World Championship is scheduled for 2027, date and location TBD.

Asmodee is currently finalizing the full program of Australian dates for Settlements and Cities. This space will be updated soon.
